What's covered, sub-limits, exclusions and waiting periods depend on the insurer's approved policy wording. Some insurers ask for photos from five angles, a vaccination declaration, and a Kennel Club of India pedigree certificate for high cover amounts. Questions owners ask

Is the ID really free?

Yes. The digital ID, health record and reminders are free. You only pay if you order a printed card or tag, or buy insurance.

Is this an official government registration?

No. It is a private ID from IndiaPetInsurance.com. Your city may also require a municipal dog licence. You can add your licence number to the ID so everything is in one place.

Why do you ask for my ID proof?

Insurers need KYC before issuing a policy, and municipal licences need owner ID and address proof. You can skip it now and add it when you buy insurance.

Can I add records from my current vet?

Yes. Upload vaccination cards, prescriptions and reports from any clinic, partner or not.

What's in the safety kit?

Two steel QR ID tags for the collar (one spare), a premium reflective collar, a PVC ID card with all the details, and a one-press travel water bottle: press the button and water fills its built-in drinking cup. ₹1,000 including delivery, pay on delivery. You can order it right after making the free ID.

Who provides the insurance?

A licensed insurer, arranged through an IRDAI-registered intermediary. Their names and registration numbers are shared with your quote before you buy.
